While dressing up the home for Halloween is always a ball, it wouldn’t be a complete Halloween Handbook if we didn’t discuss one of the holiday’s highlights: costumes!
I love to get dressed up so of course I’m always down to get creative with the costumes but the truth is I do have a few tried and true costumes ideas that have remained my all-time favorites.
1) Miss Selfridge 2) Mytheresa 3) SoleStruck 4) Zappos 5) WetSeal 7) 1stdibs
Well you guys already know I love anything Native American and Halloween allows me to let out my inner Indian princess! Feather headdresses are actually pretty easy to make with feathers of varied size; a glue gun and a headband. If you’re not feeling crafty check out Etsy for some really cool handmade options. Also, fringe is a huge trend right now so it’s very economical of you to invest in some fringed items for your costume and your wardrobe!
In regards to makeup I say layer on the self-tanner (Sally Hansen makes a wash-off tanner- that makes you look really dark); fill in your brows; go dramatic with dark eyeliner and lots of bronzer! And don’t forget the face paint.
There are so many reasons why this is wrong, but my favorite is that she’s classified Native Americans in the same category as “Miss Piggy.”
